CBD cultivation in Switzerland is a strong industry right now. Its rapid growth can only be described as mercurial. It is such a promising industry that it often buries the conversation that paved the way for its growth in the first place – its benefits.
The great thing about CBD oil is that the absence of THC eliminates virtually all of the reasons why not to use it. Furthermore, studies show that the use of pure CBD oil does not, in any way, build up a tolerance in its users. It no longer has psychoactive effects nor is it addictive, so anti-drug advocates no longer have the motive to resist its use.
However, various political and medical obstacles remain. So, the multiple benefits remain largely under-researched. It's an uphill battle for groups trying to get this sorted out, but their fight seems to be progressing quite nicely. Pretty soon, we may be seeing CBD get mainstream acceptance.
Four reasons why CBD oil rocks
A safe and non-addictive painkiller
Traditional painkillers often have detrimental effects such as drowsiness, nausea, vomiting, and diarrhea. Some, such as morphine and Vicodin, are even addictive because its users tend to build up a tolerance for it making them use more and more for the same effect.
This happens because pharmaceutical painkillers are highly specialized in dealing with pain. It only targets and blocks the pain receptors but ultimately leaves the rest of the body to adjust to the alien compound on its own. CBD also blocks the pain receptors, but it also maintains homeostasis by interacting with the endocannabinoid system. This means that side-effects are minimal and that the rest of the body can adapt to the introduction of a new substance in the body in an efficient way.
Kills cancer as it eases chemotherapy effects
Mouth sprays of pure CBD have been used in a study about its impact in post-chemotherapy. Respondents are reported to have reduced vomiting and nausea – common effects of the procedure. This effect is even made more potent by reintroducing THC to the compound.
What’s even more amazing is that CBD for animals has been observed to reduce the risk of getting cancer in the first place. Scientists propose that mice with aggressive cancer cells were able to inhibit the spread of cancer through CBD.
Test tube tests, on the other hand, yield data that seems to suggest that the introduction of CBD kills human breast cancer cells.
Protects against neurological diseases
The endocannabinoid system plays a huge role in various neurological diseases such as Parkinson’s, Dementia, and Alzheimer’s. CBD’s focus on interacting with it makes the product an important part of the conversation in maintenance and cure in neurological diseases.
Statistics propose the use of CBD for MS. It claims that 75% of multiple sclerosis patients were able to control their muscle spasms using CBD suggesting that it’s a cure for the disease.
Test tube experiments suggest that the anti-inflammatory properties of CBD might also reduce brain degradation and help prolong people with Alzheimer's or even unlock information on how to reverse the effects of the disease.
Improves cardiovascular health
High blood pressure is one of the most common causes of stroke and heart attacks which is one of the top causes of death in America.
This is why the blood-pressure-lowering property of CBD saves millions of active users from suffering a painful death from heart disease. Studies show that just a 600mg dose of CBD lowers the resting heart rate of its users which effectively reduces the risk of deadly heart complications.
CBD oil brings with it various important medical benefits. From enhancing the quality of life for terminal patients, to potentially curing previously incurable diseases, CBD is indeed a miracle. But, like many other miracles, if studies are made, it can be made replicable. When that day comes, it will no longer be considered as a miracle but as a centuries-long process of a landmark medical discovery.
Right now, only animal and test tube experiments are being utilized to research the various costs and benefits of CBD. The stigma around the raw material is still a huge hindrance to fully understanding how it can be utilized in the mainstream medical field.
One of the main reasons why the CBD remains unexplored is legal. Because it's still prohibited in some nations with the capacity conduct research and enact experiments, progress remains painfully slow. Hopefully, because it is slowly being legalized and accepted in progressive countries, studies become more and more available to the public.
CBD is indeed a miracle compound whose viability as mainstream medical treatment needs to be studied carefully and intensely. Hopefully, the developments in Switzerland and other progressive European states inspire the destruction of the stigma around the CBD oil and where it came from.
